About Wayne Catledge
Wayne Catledge graduated from Florida State in Tallahassee before embarking on both a pool playing and accounting career. During his college career his extra curricular activities included, baseball, football, basketball, golf and tennis, which became favorite hobbies outside of his love for billiards. He earned a CPA license in Florida upon graduation. He later became the owner of commercial properties and small businesses in central Florida and married his college sweetheart Sheryl whom he met in 1987. They now have two children Lee and Amanda and two grandchildren, Erin, 8 and Ryan, 6. Catledge began playing pool about age 16 in Orlando and quickly developed. He then began beating top champions. Within a few years a friend and top player was murdered, so Catledge quit playing for many years to finish college and start accounting career. He earned 9-ball, 8-ball, 3-cushion. He earned a major title at the 2005 VNEA National Champion Open Division 8 Ball Title. Favorite movie is Sound of Music (must have seen over 20 times). Currently, his favorite past-time is helping advanced and professional pool players enhance their abilities and knowledge in pool, and he also enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.
