About Karen Corr
Karen Corr “The Irish Invader”, was born November 10, 1969 in Ballymoney, Northern Ireland. Karen began a career in snooker at the age of fourteen when her family moved to England. In 1990 she won her first World Snooker Championship, and continued this trend in 1991, 1995, and 1997. In June 1998, Karen moved to the United States and began her professional pool career. After ten consecutive wins, Karen was able to enter WPBA Professional Events. In 2000, Karen won her first WPBA Classic title and finished out that year with two additional Classic Tour titles. The Irish Invader won the All Japan Open Championship and placed second in the WPA Women’s World Championship and the UCC World Ladies Championship in Tokyo, Japan. By the end of 1998, Karen was ranked number twenty-four, and only one year later she skyrocketed to number four. In 2000, Karen was ranked an impressive second and remains in that standing today.
