About Wade Crane
Wade Crane who is best known as “BoomBoom”, aka, “Billy Johnson”, was born in the small mountain town of Robbinsville, N.C. Wade’s first job was working in a billiard room at the age of 12. It was there that Wade fell in love with the sport. He was a self taught player who had a number of accomplishments; Former World 8-Ball and 9-Ball Champion. He was a former leading money maker on the pro tour. Wade is the only player in history to shoot a perfect score in the finals of a major tournament, a record that still stands after 21 years. At the height of his game, he had the highest run out percentage after pocketing a ball on the break than any other 9-Ball player. He was voted by his peers “to have had the best 9-Ball break in history.” Wade now resides in Bradenton, FL where he is the house pro at Daiamond’s Sports Palace and is a very active teacher when he is between events.
