About Sarah Ellerby
Sarah's talent and perseverance has earned her an impressive top 15 ranking on the WPBA (Women's Professional Billiard Association) Classic Tour, as well as over 100 National & International Titles in 8-ball and 9-ball. Growing up in England, Sarah began her billiards career at the age of 12 and claimed her first title at age 14. Sarah was soon lauded as one of the best female billiard players in England. From 1992-1999, Sarah represented her country as an England International earning the titles of World Team & European Singles Championship. In 2001, Sarah moved to the U.S. to pursue stiffer competition and her goal of becoming the best female billiard player in the world. In her rookie season, Sarah earned the #1 ranking on the LST Tour and climbed from #48 to #13 on the WPBA Classic Tour in 2002. Sarah has maintained her top 15 World ranking through 2005. Sarah had impressive top five finishes in the US Open and the Midwest Classic. Television appearances on networks such as ESPN and Sky Sports. Sarah’s next event will be the North Carolina Classic, in February. This year Sarah will join other selected professional players, and compete on a multimillion dollar tour (10M). The International Pool Tour’s first event will be broadcast live on two major networks, this is only the second time in history, pool has been shown live! Away from the table, Sarah owns her own Sports & Entertainment Consulting Company and is in the process of manufacturing a new billiard product. In her spare time she enjoys working out and dedicating time to charitable work. In order to raise the profile of this charity, Sarah competed in two WALT Disney World Half Marathon’s for Kids Beating Cancer.
