About James Fusco
"The IPT tournament arena has a unique look that oozes class, especially the “mother ship. The arena, with it's lit up wooden columns, high tech plasma televisions, and ample full view seating, had a mystique of elegance and excitement. Finally the audience can view tables as well as live scoring on beautiful overhead plasmas. This is the dawn of a new era in pocket billiards history. Since the year 1500, when the game was invented in France, there was never a way to display the great skill and excitement generated by this elegant and magical sport. Now, for the first time in it's 500 plus year history, one man took this beautiful sport and combined it with television like has never been attempted before. The IPT will be around for many years, bringing out new pool fans from all around the world. I am 45 years old, and in my entire life I have never looked forward to something this much. 150 of the world's greatest 8-ball players from around the world, competing for "masters champion" will make this event the most incredible cue sport event in all of history. Many stories will be played out, from the quick-witted British players to the twelve-year-old kid genius Austin Murphy to the strongest female players. It was such a pleasure to witness fast-paced players who have regularly displayed their skills in 9-ball actually slow down and THINK. It was such a treat to watch the Hall of Fame players in action. I truly believe that IPT events will be the single greatest sporting events in the history of the world. These events will be sold out in record time! Most importantly, the players were treated with utmost respect. Although the tournament format was challenging, the organic health food that was provided will keep energy levels at their very best. I’m very anxious to compete in my first IPT event!"
