About Philip Harrison
Philip first picked up a cue when he was 6 years old. He learned a lot about the game of snooker from watching TV and at the age of 10 a local club brought in a pool table. Philip’s parents took him most weekends to play where he sharpened his skills by playing in the local leagues. At the age of 13 he won his first competition. At 17 Philip became a County player and at the age of 31 he started to play County for Cambrigeshire. In 1993 he joined the UK Tour and was in the top 64 during the first year. In 1996 he won his first tour event and became an England Team player in 1998. With the many highlights of Philip’s career, some stand out more than others. Philip played in the World Championships and took part in sharing the win of the team event 5 times with England. Philip also won the China Classic, as well as 4 International tour titles. Philip earned his nickname of Phil the Farmer after spending long hours working on this grandfathers farm soon after leaving College.
