About Jeremy Jones
Jeremy Jones, a young man from Houston, Texas, was first introduced to the pool tables at the age of seventeen. Jeremy worked in a pizza restaurant, and he and his coworkers used to use their tip money to play poker after work. One friend invited Jeremy to play pool one night instead, and he loved it. He played recreationally through high school, and competed in local tournaments as an amateur. In 1996, Jeremy decided to go professional and toured all but two of the fifty United States. In 1998, Jeremy won the US Open 1-Pocket Championship, and in 2003 he won the US Open in 9-Ball; Jeremy is the only person ever to simultaneously hold these two titles. Jeremy will compete for the sixth time this year on the Mosconi Cup Team in Las Vegas, and holds the title two times in the Houston Open and three times in the Texas Open.
