About Johnathan Macias
John Macias, or “Lil’ Jon”, has been playing pool on and off his entire life. When he was six years old his parents had a table in the garage and the traditional solids and stripes became the only game he would play for many years with the family. As time went on, pool was put on the back burner and baseball, football and soccer became his first priority after school and on weekends. At the age of sixteen, his baseball team went to shoot pool after a big game and he was hooked once again on billiards. From that point on, he became fascinated by precise cue ball control and unbelievable pressure rushes. Small local bar room tournaments led to small local “action” play, which later led him to compete across the state. Ten years later, he has become an excellent money player and a well respected gambler across U.S. Now he is ready to switch gears and try to put that same amount of energy into highly competitive tournament play in the 2006 season of the IPT.
