About Austin Murphy
Austin Murphy began playing pool at the age of seven while tagging along with his older brother Braden who discovered that pool was a game that he could play from his wheelchair. The two brothers played pool together every day in the recreation room at a neighborhood tennis club. Recognizing Austin’s natural talent, his parents put a pool table in their garage when Austin was 10. At the age of 11 Austin became the youngest ever to win the Billiard Congress of America Junior National Championships 14 and under division in Ann Arbor, Michigan in June of 2005. Austin placed 13th in the World Junior Championships 18 and under division held in Velden, Austria in September of 2005. He was the youngest player to finish in the top 16. Austin is very determined to become one of the top pool players in the world.
