About Neil Raybone

Neil Raybone at the age of 21 lives in Willenhall, West Midlands, England, when Neil was growing up he always had an interest in pool and other sports such as football and tennis has his family enjoy playing sports. However at the age of about 11, he started playing pool in the local leagues and people made him realize that he has a talent, so this is when he decided to start playing and concentrating more on his pool rather than any other sports. At the age of 12 he joined West Midlands county pool team and he gained England place within his first tournament that he entered, this made him one of the youngest players ever to qualify and play for the England team. When he qualified for the England team it was one of the best moments of his short career as it has helped him to travel to many countries all over Europe and meet a number of people who have become great friends. Even though he enjoys playing pool at the highest level, He has never forgotten about his education he stayed on at school and did all of his exams and is now currently in his final year at university of completing a BA Honors Business Management degree. At the age of 16 he joined the United Kingdom Pool tour and he immediately made an impact against the world leading players in English 8 ball pool as he scored enough points to turn professional in his first season. This made him the youngest person ever to turn professional on the United Kingdom English 8 ball pool tour. He is glad he did turn professional at an early age as it has allowed him to gather whole variety of experience playing against the best players in the world and this has helped him in developing his game into a high standard. He currently has the number 5 position in the professional rankings. All of this experience he gained at an early age has helped him to win a variety of tournaments in his short career so far, such as a National junior title, United Kingdom title, 2 consecutive Kent Open titles, 6 Central England regional tours titles and many other tournaments throughout the United Kingdom. He has also played in the national junior team to win World, European and United Kingdom team titles.
