About James Rempe
“King James” Rempe, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, began playing pool at the tender age of six. At age thirteen, Jim was practicing up to ten hours a day, and began to travel to New York to watch the best in the world. Over the next few years, his travels expanded across the country, and he played against the pros to improve his game. This “Ambassador of Pool” went pro at the age of 22, and between 1972 and 1978 won more titles than anyone else in the world. To date, King James has won more than one hundred major championships and eleven world titles, conquering the World Straight Pool Championship, the World 9-Ball Championship, the World One-Pocket Championship, All-Around Champion of the World and the Mizerak Senior Tour. Inducted to the BCA Hall of Fame in 2002, Jim has become an unbelievable icon in the world of professional pool.
