About Stefan Santl
Stefan Santl began playing pool at the age of 17, and by the time he turned 19, he had won his first 8-Ball German Championship. At the age of 20 he opened his first pool hall, and placed in the top 20 at the European Tour. In the next few years Santl took a break from playing pool to open up a new pool hall, “Café Alibi” in Passau. In 2005 he established a second “Café Alibi” location with his brother Robert in Straubing. In 2001, Santl got back into the tournament circuit again and has since established remarkable success including that he became a 4-time Bavarian Champion. In 2001 he earned a 3rd place in the German 8-Ball Championship. Just a year later, 2002 became a very important year for him, as he consecutively placed 17th in The World Tour at Munich in the 9-Ball Tournament, placed 9th in the World Tour in Arnheim 9-Ball tournament, and he placed 5th in the World Tour 9-Ball tournament in Tokyo. Since the age of 17, Santl has been at the game, and he recently placed 17th in 2004 at The World Championship 8-Ball at Fujairah. He also operates two pool halls in Germany and remains a successful businessman within the pool hall and pool wholesale industry.
