About Jimmy Wetch
Jimmy Wetch Jr. started playing pool at the age of 13 in St. Paul, MN. By age 16, Jimmy had run 131 balls playing Straight Pool. In 1994, he began playing on the Men’s Pro Billiard Tour and was named Rookie of the Year. He attributes much of his success and knowledge of the game to players who mentored him early on. Ed Nagel is one such instructor. They met in 1995 and Nagel was helpful in honing Wetch’s pool skills. In 1996, Wetch joined the Camel Pro Billiard Series where he won an event and had strong overall rankings for three consecutive years. He was also a McDermott Masters Champion and Huebler Cup Champion. In 1999, he opened his own billiard room, Jimmy’s pro Billiards in Columbia Heights, MN.
