About John Wims
Irish born John Wims has forged a remarkable career on the pool circuit since graduating from University as a Civil Engineer in 2000; dividing his time between his hometown of Kildare,Ireland and Sydney, Australia where he was first introduced to American pool . In 2004 John won the prestigious All Ireland 9 Ball Championships with a quality field present including snooker legend Alex “Hurricane” Higgins. On his return to the Southern Hemisphere in 2005 John won the Oceania 9 Ball Championship at his first attempt, beating the best players in Australia and New Zealand. John’s prowess in the game has also led him to the final of the Australian 9 Ball Championships twice, in 2002 and 2004, loosing narrowly both times The IPT is the answer to every pool player’s dreams. Finally an opportunity to earn real money and feel like a professional sportsperson competing in superb venues around the world.
